The Workflo Exhale

Working at the John Hardy (Jewelry) Flagship Store Opening. Looks fun and chic, right? Don't be fooled this was an 18-hr work day.

About this “Me Time” thing: I getz none.

Seriously.

No, I’m not a mommy or a CEO; I’m a working modeling. This means I’m the mommy, manager and CEO of my life. As models our lives and occupations are intertwined: no weekends, no snow days, no sick days, no day after holiday,  holidays.

Even this super beauty, model Jasmine Tookes, party guest found herself working.

Even this super beauty, model Jasmine Tookes- a party guest, found herself working.

I may look like I get a lot of me time: pictures of me on social media at the party, yet I’m still at work….

Hence why I use my skin care routine, as a moment for self care too.

Here are a couple of my personal me time, budget friendly items that I’ve managed to working into my daily grooming routine. It’s just a mere few items listed because it should be understood that we, the student loan generation, are not always fortunate enough to make weekly or monthly novelty purchases. So I’d like to show how these few, moderate items can made a difference in my day today grind.

1. Chantecaille Rose de Mai Face Oil: This season, I’ve taken to all things “rose,” and by “taken” I mean I can’t live without. I crave it. It calls to me- when I’m rushing through the crowded avenues, racing to work and castings. It soothes me. Don’t judge me. Lol… Which you couldn’t even if you tried because the benefits of rose oil have long be tooted since the Ancients.

Chantecaille Rose de Mai Face Oil contains Rose Hip, Evening Primrose, Rose Damascena and Rose Geranium, all which provide nourishment and healing properties in the forms of Vitamin C, E, GLA and essential fatty acids. I’ve managed to combine “me-time” with my set or home-life, skin care routine, by layering a few drops among my serum and moisturizer regimen at night or mixed in with my moisturizer in between makeup changes on the work set.

2. These were an impulse, at the register, purchase from H&M.
An “Oooo… Shiny, they must be for me, thing.” Yes, that’s a thing.
So all novelty considered, these headphones have snuck their way into my life and become my babies. I’ve managed to find a way to block out the world around me with these lovelies. They block out sound, keep my ears warm, and come I a variety of colors to go with the #ootd in a way that makes me feel armed and simply chic at the same time.

3. Vaseline Rosy Lips: O.K. Next to my skincare addiction, is my addiction to all things lips. You can thank my Dad and the countless cherry Chapsticks and Dr. Pepper, Lip Smackers Lip balms he’d gift to me. So perhaps it is immemorium of childhood from which I acquired my newest winter obsession of all lippie things “rose.” After learning about Vasline’s Healing project, I was eager to try this product, and quickly fell in love. It keeps my lips moist, glossy and already some have stopped to ask, “what lipstick are you wearing?” Haha!

4. The Rimmel London US, Kate Moss Contour Kit.
So I gather that non-touring is for winter, but never for me. This girl’s got a topic of cancer soul, and her cheekbones will be framed with a little faux shimmer & sun-in year round. The Rimmel Kate Moss Contour Kit is a bronzer, rosy blush, highlighter palette I feel in love with on set last Spring. It loves me too, and we’ve refused to part since 😋.

Love these suggestions! I’m always looking for a good lip balm and if there’s color to it, it’s even better. Haven’t tried any rose oil products…will have to look into that! Thanks for this xx
