When you’re a performing artist, you’re show is your product, your body is your marketing and you face is your business card. Hey, it’s sad a concept to some, but in the image based society we live in, it’s how an artist “eats.”
So it no wonder when models, actors, even Make up artists DM me questions about skincare. Guess what, there’s no shame because, even, the bibliophiles at my part-time, library, hustle ask me. So everyone cares about their appearance, to some degree, and that’s o.k. 😉
After posting a hyper pigmentation series on Instagram this summer, a performer friend was prompted to text me, in search of a product or ingredient for acne scares. Years of cystic acne left this talented dancer, and widely popular performer with dark blemishes all over. This amazing woman, who entertains audiences and teaches professional students in a metropolitan city, didn’t feel comfortable leaving the house without heavy foundation and powder. Now to me: that sounds exhausting, costly and perhaps annoying to wear during hours of sweat breaking rehearsals.
Then I thought OOoooo… friend. Yes, girl. I got you!

I made certain to ask about their products geared towards blemishes because it’s the #1 question I’m asked by peeps.
